About Sven Cycles

Founded in 2012 by Darron Sven Coppin in the seaside town of Weymouth

A Short History…

Darron was taught to braze in his teenage years by his father, a jeweller and vintage car enthusiast. As a result, he understands not only the importance of technical and structural precision, but also the value of finesse in the look and form. Couple this with his passion for the craft and his respect for the institution of British cycle touring, and you’ll begin to get an impression of what Sven Cycles is about. With an extensive background in the bike trade spanning 30+ years, Darron has been a keen mountain biker from the early days of the sport, and has always had a love of bikes of all types.

Fast forward to the present day - and having picked up a few awards along the way - and Sven Cycles is a small but highly-specialised team working together. Every bike that leaves our workshop has a strong emphasis on exquisite craftsmanship, personalised style and design, and of course exemplary functionality and performance.
