The Swift is the only mid-motor electric bike to be designed and manufactured in the UK. It’s also the only bike on the market to be made using a specially designed Reynolds 631 tube set. This step through option offers the same light, smooth ride, but with a step through frame.

Designed with both the urban and rural rider in mind, The Swift allows you to glide up steep hills or commute to work without breaking into a sweat, and its walk-asset function will become your best friend when carrying heavy groceries.

Electric bikes are the most eco-friendly form of transport currently available; they cut congestion, pollution and noise all at once. And with no chain or oil, The Swift is very low maintenance, remaining grease-free, rust-free and hassle-free.

Frame and Forks

The Swift frame is hand-built, fillet-brazed in our Weymouth workshop using Reynolds 631 tubing. Utilising the same chemistry as 853, Reynolds 631 is cold-worked and also has the advantages of air-hardening after welding. The alloy is a development of the classic 531 range, but with 10% higher strength. This provides extremely tough, durable, and comfortable frames particularly suitable for long-distance riding. Plenty strong enough to carry the extra weight of the electric drivetrain and battery, as well as your panniers and other bags if you’re off on an adventure.

Gearing and Drivetrain

We’ve fitted the Shimano STEPS system to power The Swift, integrated with the Shimano Alfine /Di2 hub system for reliability and ease of use. Gear changing can be switched between manual and automatic. Instead of a chain, we’ve chosen a maintenance-free Gates belt-drive system which is stronger than a traditional bike chain in e-bike use. Choose a battery range of 63 miles as standard, or up to 90 miles on eco mode using a higher powered battery.
